Dear Parents and Carers

This term we are aiming to enhance the remote learning experience for children by providing live lessons. In Year R, the teachers will be providing a daily live phonics lesson starting on Monday. RSC and RH will be at 9.30am and RB and RA will be at 10am. At a meet and greet on Thursday 7^th January, Mrs Hill will explain to you and your child how the lessons will work, establish rules and answer questions. RSC will be 9.30 – 9.40am. RH will be at 9.50 – 10am, RA will be at 10.10am – 10.20am and RB at 10.30am – 10.40am.

Your child’s TEAMS login details were sent out in their reading record. If you do not have their Teams log in details at home, please contact the school and we will be able to provide them.

For safeguarding and GDPR purposes, we request that families follow this code of conduct while accessing live lessons:

• Start lessons with cameras and microphones turned off
• Only turn on microphones and/or cameras when asked to do so by the teacher
• Use appropriate language
• Ensure an appropriate background, without personal information or unsuitable items in view
• Where possible, only the child and (and possibly a supporting adult) should be in view
• Children follow behaviour expectations as outlined by the teacher at the start of the lesson

ALTHOUGH WE ARE ASKING FOR THE CAMERAS TO BE OFF, IF YOU DO NOT WANT YOUR CHILD TO BE PART OF THE LIVE LESSON (WHICH WILL BE RECORDED) PLEASE ACCESS THE RECORDED VERSION ONLY. THIS RECORDING CAN ONLY BE ACCESSED BY YOUR CHILD’S CLASS.

The year R team will also be providing a daily recorded maths, topic, storytime and English lesson on TEAMS for you to access as well.
