Junior Leadership Team (JLT)

What have the Junior Leadership Team been working on?

This year we have a brand new Junior Leadership Team who have already contributed so much to the school.

Firstly, they have come up with a bank of interview questions which they asked candidates when recruiting for four Teaching Assistants and a Parent Support Advisor. The children were so excited to be part of this and we were so proud of how mature they were.

They planned and organised some fantastic Children In Need fundraising activities. They also delivered a fantastic assembly to Key Stage 1 children to make them more aware of what Children In Need is all about and who the charity is supporting. The JLT raised over £500.

Three of our members were welcomed at the second Governors meeting of the year to talk about the JLT plans and what they had already been up to.

Having met up with Mrs Stammers (our School Business Manager) to talk money, in Term 3, the JLT successfully launched the fruit stop back into KS2 - otherwise known as 'The Fruit Shack.' It has been a resounding success.

In term 4, they have a series of Comic Relief events planned and hope to work with Mr Holyer to make improvements to playtimes. Watch this space!
