Learning Mentor

30 Hours per week term time only

 

Cliftonville Primary and Pre-school is seeking an experienced Learning Mentor to lead and further develop our Nuture Provision, ensuring that our children have a calm and enjoyable learning experience. We require somebody who can help pupils to overcome barriers to learning, both inside and outside of the school, and establish relationships with families with children at the school through regular workshops and targeted events. You will work closely with our SENDCo and Senior Leadership Team, as well as class teachers, so you must be a good communicator and be able to present information clearly and concisely.

 Midday Assistants Required

Grade 2 Point 7 (£11.44 per hour) £2,525pa actual

5 hours per week Monday to Friday Term time only

Start date: September 2024

Cliftonville Primary & Pre School is looking to appoint two Midday Assistants to join our friendly and busy team at lunchtimes to support our pupils and ensure that they have a safe and happy playtime. 

The successful candidates will be responsible for supporting the Teaching Assistants in supervising pupils during their lunch break within the lunch hall and on the playground. The ideal candidate will need to be able to engage pupils in games and activities and have a confident, bubbly and enthusiastic manner to do this. As we have a large number of pupils our lunch breaks are staggered and the successful candidates will be attached to a specific year group each. At present this is with Year 5 and Year 6, and within our Pre-school.

The ideal candidate will require a calm and nurturing attitude, and be willing to work with the school to promote good behaviour and social skills during the lunchtime period. You will be required to be first aid trained, or willing to undertake first aid training.
