The winter bug season is very much upon us and we have ramped up hygiene measures in school to ensure we keep everyone healthy as possible. We know that you are best placed to judge whether your child is well enough for school. However the end of Term 2 brings lots of festive activities that we don't want the children to miss out on. You may find it useful to refer to the NHS website that has great advice about illnesses and if children can still come to school:
https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/is-my-child-too-ill-for-school/ Please also refer to the Arbor app for a daily update on your child's attendance percentages.
A true partnership between home and school is vital to good attendance and we appreciate your support.
At Cliftonville Primary School we expect good attendance and punctuality. Our aim is for 100% attendance and punctuality. We believe that:
Good attendance gives children every opportunity to influence their future quality of life and reach their full potential.
Attendance is closely linked to achievement. The better your child's attendance, the better their grades are!
Good attendance helps children in developing friendships.
Punctuality is important. It is habit forming and shows commitment to the importance of working and learning.
Mrs Saddington and Mrs Hasson are our Education Attendance Officers. You will see them at the Wellbeing hub house every morning from 8.40am - 9.10am if your child is late or you need to talk to them or member of the pastoral team. There is lots we have on offer to support families with improving attendance, so please do pop along for a chat.
We set a very high bar for attendance because we want the very best for your child. If, despite the outstanding support we provide, your child does not attend regularly and on time we will have to issue a Penalty Notice fines for unauthorised absence.
If you need to contact the attendance officers, Mrs Hasson or Mrs Saddington, regarding your child you can now email them directly at attendance@cliftonvilleprimary.co.uk
