We are delighted to be working with the Pet Therapy dog charity and have Rufus and his handler Lauren visiting us at the Wellbeing Hub House once a week. Rufus is trained to work with children who may need some support with their emotional wellbeing. The children will be able to meet with Rufus at the Wellbeing Hub house supervised by Lauren his handler and parent support advisor Lucie. During their session they will be able to chat to Rufus and give him lots of strokes and cuddles. Research has shown how effective time with a dog can be for regulating emotions and general wellbeing.
This is our school Pet Therapy Dog called Rufus. He is 3 years old and a Labradoodle which means he is half Labrador half poodle. Rufus has a sister called
Winnie and they love to play on the beach with a ball. He loves treats and will do a trick or give you a kiss for a treat but most of all he LOVES cuddles, all day every day! He can’t wait to meet you all!
