On Friday, Pre-School were very excited to welcome their grown-ups into their classroom to share reading with them. Mrs Mayhew talked to the adults about the importance of reading with your children at home and gave some tips before sharing some of her favourite children’s authors. She then read “Flip Flop The Penguin Who Wanted To Fly” to the children who really enjoyed it. Even more excitingly, Mrs Mayhew then presented each child with their new Cliftonville Reading Record and their Book Trust pack which contained 2 free books and some fun activities. Parents then read with their children. Everyone had a lovely time and it has been great to see adults using the reading records at home with their children.
