Pre school letter for online learning

 5th January 2021

Dear Parents and Carers

This term we are aiming to enhance the remote learning experience for children by providing live lessons. In the Pre-School, Mrs Tuffs will be providing a daily live literacy lesson starting on Thursday 7th January at 9.30am. At the beginning of this lesson Mrs Tuffs will explain to you and your child how the lessons will work, establish rules and answer questions.

A short video on how to access the live lessons is on the school website.

Your child’s TEAMS login details were sent out on a laminated card in term 2. If you do not have their Teams log in details at home, please contact the school and we will be able to provide them.

For safeguarding and GDPR purposes, we request that families follow this code of conduct while accessing live lessons:

  • Start lessons with cameras and microphones turned off
  • Only turn on microphones and/or cameras when asked to do so by the teacher
  • Use appropriate language
  • Ensure an appropriate background, without personal information or unsuitable items in view
  • Where possible, only the child and (and possibly a supporting adult) should be in view
  • Children follow behaviour expectations as outlined by the teacher at the start of the lesson

ALTHOUGH WE ARE ASKING FOR THE CAMERAS TO BE OFF, IF YOU DO NOT WANT YOUR CHILD TO BE PART OF THE LIVE LESSON (WHICH WILL BE RECORDED) PLEASE ACCESS THE RECORDED VERSION ONLY. THIS RECORDING CAN ONLY BE ACCESSED BY YOUR CHILD’S CLASS.

Mrs Tuffs will also be providing a daily recorded maths, topic and story time lesson on TEAMS for you to access at your leisure.

Yours sincerely
