Eleven children were invited to attend a special celebration event at the QE11 Conference Centre in Westminster on the 9th July. They travelled up to London by train, accompanied by Mrs Spackman and Mrs Troth. All of the children were chosen for their efforts this year across the curriculum and especially progress and attainment in English and mathematics. In addition, two of them, Ruby and Leo, had won regional competitions for poetry and photography respectively. The children and staff were treated to performances from the London Gospel Choir and the PiXL choir. Mrs Troth was asked by PiXL to introduce the children from across the whole of the South East region. They were presented with their awards by Matt Dawson, ex-England rugby player and team captain on 'A Question of Sport'....he made a very inspiring speech about individual responsibility, resilience and team work.
