It is a lovely school with a welcoming feel and a positive atmosphere. Much more visible leadership team. A feeling of pride in the school. As parents we feel really proud that our son comes to such a great school, which we knew was fabulous whether OFSTED told us or not! The trips that Mrs Glover & Mrs Sear have been putting together are a fantastic idea and hope they continue. I am extremely happy with Daniel's progress since starting at the Pre-School. He seems to have made a lovely group of friends and enjoys coming in every day. I can't wait to see him progress further. Senior & middle leaders know the strengths of their staff & deploy them accordingly. More tailored support for different groups of learners has been a really big & positive change. Thank you! The Headteacher has a clear vision for the school & her ambition for it to continue to make improvements is shared by her senior team & staff.

Peer Mediators

Our newly trained Peer Mediators are now in action! The 13-strong group of year 6 children have undertaken a rigorous and thorough training programme under the guidance of Mediator Leader Mrs Harper and have now started to give out advice and guidance to help iron out disputes between children in the Key Stage 1 and 2 playgrounds.

They work on a rota basis and can be easily found in the Mediator Room every lunchtime. The group were selected after they made an application for the important role and believe that the training they received from Mrs Harper has set them in good stead for supporting their peers to sort out problems by reaching a reasonable and friendly solution.

Cliftonville first launched the Mediator Programme a number of years ago but has grown in importance and status ever since with the role of Peer Mediator being highly valued amongst children and staff.

We are hugely proud of the very valuable work our Peer Mediators undertake within our school community. They work with maturity and kindness – always upholding our very important Cliftonville values.
