It is a lovely school with a welcoming feel and a positive atmosphere. Much more visible leadership team. A feeling of pride in the school. As parents we feel really proud that our son comes to such a great school, which we knew was fabulous whether OFSTED told us or not! The trips that Mrs Glover & Mrs Sear have been putting together are a fantastic idea and hope they continue. I am extremely happy with Daniel's progress since starting at the Pre-School. He seems to have made a lovely group of friends and enjoys coming in every day. I can't wait to see him progress further. Senior & middle leaders know the strengths of their staff & deploy them accordingly. More tailored support for different groups of learners has been a really big & positive change. Thank you! The Headteacher has a clear vision for the school & her ambition for it to continue to make improvements is shared by her senior team & staff.

New Entrants September 2020

Thank you for choosing Cliftonville Primary and Pre-School for your child. We believe you have made an excellent choice for your child’s start to life at school. We hope that your child will be very happy with us and, that you too, will enjoy your time with the school.

What do I do now?

By now, you will have accepted your school place offer. You will have received an email containing a link to our New Entrants Admission Booklet. Please ensure you have completed this by the 1ST JUNE. Without these forms completed, we will be unable to register your child ready to start with us in September.

What do I do once I have completed the New Entrants Admissions Booklet?

In order for your child to start school, by the 1ST JUNE we will need:

  • A copy of your child’s full birth certificate
  • Evidence of your address e.g. council tax bill, bank statement, utility bill AND
  • Proof that your child also lives at this address e.g. letter from the doctor or dentist, health visitor documents

A scanned copy or photograph of these items must be sent to the office BY EMAIL.

Please send all relevant documents to office@cliftonville.kent.sch.uk with your child's name and date of birth clearly stated.

In September, we will need to see your child’s original birth certificate.

What do I need to do next?

We are already in touch with your children's nurseries and childminders to find out as much information as we can about your child in their setting. We will soon be thinking about allocating your child to a class. To help us with this, please complete the 'Getting to know you' form which has been emailed out to the email address that you provided us with. Alternatively, there is a copy at the bottom of this page. Please complete it and return it by the 1ST JUNE to office@cliftonville.kent.sch.uk.

This information, along with details provided by your child’s nursery/childminder, will help us to allocate your child’s teacher for September.

How will I access my welcome pack?

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, we are unable to open our office for you to be able to collect your welcome packs. These are ready and waiting for you but we will ensure that we email as much as we can to you using the email address you provided on application. If your details have changed, please contact the school office as soon as possible.

In the meantime…

During this very uncertain time, please be assured that we will do everything we can to keep in touch with you and ensure that your child’s transition to school will be as smooth as possible. At this present moment, it is unlikely that we will be able to hold our usual Rising 5s transition sessions in June and July. However, whilst still following Government guidelines, we are hoping that these will be able to take place in September. We will be in touch with you in June, to inform you of your child's teacher and with some more information about settling in sessions.

We are all looking forward to meeting both you and your child. Please visit our school website (www.cliftonvilleprimary.co.uk) or our Facebook page (Cliftonville Primary and Pre-School) to keep up to date with what is going on in school. We hope that it is possible to meet and get to know you before September, but in such an unpredictable and ever-changing climate, this may not be possible.
