Visit to a local secondary school for Y7 transition: parent's feedback
Just been around King Ethelbert's School - wow what a fantastic place, really impressed. First school we've looked at so the others have a lot to live up to! And what made me proud was that in our little group that was taken around [my child] was the only Year 6 to put her hand up for knowing about and using Accelerated Reader and 'My Maths' and 'Scratch'. What a credit to our little primary school for ensuring our kids get the best start in KS3. Way to go Cliftonville!

Mrs Kirby's English classes for parents: July 2016
My wife has been attending English classes provided by Mrs Kirby on Thursday mornings at the school for the past three years and on several occasions I have attended myself. Mrs Kirby is an effective communicator, professional in her approach and adept in her methods. My wife has appreciated the opportunity to improve her English and also to make new friends. The school is to be commended in providing such opportunities for parents of such differing nationalities to learn and become a part of the school community in this way.
Leadership skills of one of our Year 6 pupils, May 2016
Where do I start!
Harry is simply fantastic. He is not only the captain of our team, he is the true heart and soul of what the team is about, our ethos and how we conduct ourselves. He is 11 years old and has 13 teams mates that adore him, respect him and take on everything he has to say. He leads warm up on match days, he has learnt a great deal about leadership and himself during this time and as a bonus is a superb footballer.
Off the field he is a character. He has the natural ability to make people laugh, he has a heart of solid gold. When the team has lost or had tough times, he has put his arm round players and supported everyone. Examples of this are the Herne Bay tournament, we lost on penalties and the team was gutted, he, without my input, got him team together and spoke to them, I have no idea what he says to the boys, but whatever it is, it works. The level of respect everyone in the team, parents, players and coaches, is one of the many reasons why he is my captain and leader.
On Sunday 22nd May we took the team to play a tournament at Stamford Bridge, the home of Chelsea FC. What a day! Harry himself lead the team all day, he took them for a warm up on the biggest stage, in front of around a thousand people, including scouts from Chelsea. Even when he is on the side line as a sub, he is still encouraging the boys, giving them belief. Off the field at this tournament he showed three things that most 11 year olds struggle to show, humility, respect and professionalism. He truly represents our team in the perfect way.
I could go on and on.
He is a true credit to his fantastic family, myself as his coach and to you as a school. You should all be as proud of him as I am.

Just quickly wanted to say that the reading stars sheet that was sent home over the Christmas break was a great incentive and other parents have commented on how their children loved it. Brilliant idea!

Governor feedback: Parliament Week: November 2015
Dear Miss Connellan,
Firstly I would like to make a belated apology for not making any of the sessions due to prior commitments.
I hope everything went well. I have heard very good reports of the week. In particular I thought you might like to know that I recently spoke to Craig McKinley and he was very impressed with the behaviour and interest shown by the children on their visit to Parliament.
Thank you again for all your efforts on such an important topic.
Parent - Councillor coffee afternoon as part of Parliament Week: November 2015
Dear Cliftonville Team
A short note to say thank you for hosting the Parent-Councillor coffee afternoon. I was truly amazed at how confidently the children present supported the event. They were true school ambassadors. My special thanks to the young girl in Year 2. She made me feel very welcome as I was on my own. As a new Margate resident it was nice to meet people.
Thanet Prom: March 2015
Feedback from one of our parent governors...
Just wanted to drop a quick email to let you know I visited the Thanet School Proms last night with Cliftonville Primary School in attendance with the orchestra. They were absolutely fantastic, and got a huge round of applause from a very good sized audience.
They should all be very proud, and it was clear that a lot of hard work had gone into their performances – I just wanted to pass on my congratulations to staff and pupils involved.
...and a Local Authority Advisor...
Best wishes Linda

“I’m really happy with the progress Craiglee has made this term.”
“I am happy with this Nursery and how much Samanta has learned.”
“Kari has learnt so much and gained in confidence. She has lots of friends and loves taking part in activities. She is very proud of her “school nursery”. We have no concerns. Kari’s teachers always have positive things to say and we couldn’t have asked for better role models for our daughter.”
“I am very happy with Hayden’s progress. He has learnt a lot at the Nursery. He really enjoys it here.”
“I am extremely pleased with Freddie’s progress this year. I believe this to be due to excellent staff working together with the children i.e. Mrs Tuffs, Miss Pearlman.”
“I think Mohammed is very happy at this Nursery and I am so glad I enrolled him. I was in two minds at the beginning which is why he started later in the year as it is a commitment to bring him every day, but I definitely think it is well worth it as they make up for it in all of the other areas. It was the best decision I made. If I have any other children I will definitely do the same again.”
“Louise is always coming home having learned something or there’s some amazing activity going on at Nursery. She loves going to Nursery. I am very happy with the Nursery team. Mrs Tuffs is an amazing person to deal with, nothing too much trouble (and us parents can be crazy.) Thanks again, a very happy parent.”
