At Cliftonville Primary School we expect good attendance and punctuality.   Our aim is for 100% attendance and punctuality.

We believe that:

cryingGood attendance gives children every opportunity to influence their future quality of life and reach their full potential

cryingAttendance is closely linked to achievement.  The better your child's attendance, the better their grades are!

cryingGood attendance helps children in developing friendships

cryingPunctuality is important. It is habit forming and shows commitment to the importance of working and learning

Good attendance will be celebrated through weekly assemblies, the awarding of attendance badges and information shared on the home page of our website.

Mrs Glover and Mrs Sear are our Education Attendance Officers.  You will see them on the gate every morning and evening - come rain or shine!  There is lots they can help with to support families with improving attendance.  To help at those times of emergency, they can collect children from home or supervise children before the start of breakfast club.  The Pastoral Team can write Health Care Plans where long-term medical conditions impact on attendance.

We set a very high bar for attendance because we want the very best for your child.  If, despite the outstanding support we provide, your child does not attend regularly and on time we will use Penalty Notice fines for unauthorised absence.

A true partnership between home and school is vital to good attendance and we appreciate your support.
